Sexy Laundry: from flimsy to fabulous Gary Smith The Hamilton Spectator
I love it when I'm wrong. When I first saw Michele's Riml's Sexy Laundry I called it a flimsy little comedy.
That was before Melodee Finlay and Richard Bauer got their hands on it. At The Lighthouse in Port Dover, this rather remarkable pair of actors is liberating the play's deeper meaning, discovering its more serious intentions and still making us laugh so hard we're falling off our chairs.
It's amazing what the right pair of actors can do with a perfectly decent but predictable little comedy.
